Misty morning paddle

Spending the night in a tent on the island in the background made it fairly easy to get out in the morning to enjoy the sunrise through the mist.

This photo was taken with a Leica R4 and a 19mm lens. There is a strong yellowish glow from the rising sun which gives the canoe its warm rich colours that contrast so strongly against the sky and water.

The composition has a smooth natural flow to it as the viewer imagines the gentle left to right path of travel back to the island.
