First dusting of snow The Appalachian Mountains between Quebec and the northern New England states of the US turn vibrant with colour every autumn. Occasionally, the beautiful leaves of fall receive a light sugar dusting of snow. The weather and the foliage don't often combine to form such conditions and when it does happen, it doesn't last long, so speed is of the essence. When presented with such a confusion of choice in a subject, the disciplined photographer will look for repetitions and interruptions of pattern for their composition.
