Adjusting for light

Photographers are often disappointed when shooting contrasty light situations. The human eye is capable of encompassing a much broader range of brightness than film can. To solve that problem, its a good idea to carry some graduated neutral density filters to tone down the brighter areas like the sky in this photo. That makes the photo look more like the memory of the scene.
