We spent several hours getting close to this muskox. We watched his body language carefully for any signs of distress as we approached and backed of whenever he got aggitated. To reassure him, we'd pretend to be eating grasses whenever he looked in our direction. Eventually he accepted our presence as non-threating and we have a few photos that are much closer than this one.
