DeHavallind Beaver # 12 - Tuma Lake

A view from the floatplane dock in LaLoche. Anxious to get underway, we didn't appreciate the view.

The flight began in overcast conditions, but as we neared Lake Tuma, the sun came to illuminate the clear lakes and sand beaches.

The boys in the back seat of the Beaver. This one was outfitted with bubble windows which gave the three of us a lot more room.

On the dock before departing. This is one of the oldest working Beavers in Canada. It was number 12 off the assembly line.

Our pilot loved flying this old Beaver. He was more than happy to set us down on our lake and take off to do a few curcuits overhead for photos. This particular plane has been used in a number of movies, so we didn't expect any camera shyness.
